Compensation:$17 - $19 hourly
Responsibilities:- Comply with all instructions given by the construction manager, and work with other team members to complete construction projects accurately
- Meet safety regulations and OSHA requirements by removing debris and hazardous materials to keep the job site safe and clean
- Build temporary structures such as signs, cones, barricades, ramps, and other devices to control traffic around the construction site and tear down old structures
- Support craft workers (painters, electricians, carpenters, roofers, plasterers), sub-contractors, and other tradesmen as needed
- Carry, load, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, saws, lumber, tile, grout, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of playground sites, including excavation, grading, and drainage
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate installation of playground equipment
- Safely and efficiently assemble, install, and anchor playground structures, swings, slides, and other components according to manufacturer guidelines
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other team members to ensure quality and timely completion of projects
- Operate construction equipment and tools, such as drills, saws, and compactors, in a safe and effective manner
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and functionality
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of materials and debris
- Equivalent, GED, or high school diploma is required - Associate’s degree, trade certification, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred
- Certification required: OSHA 10
- Physical stamina and physical strength are needed
- Solid mechanical skills are needed, as are good eye-hand coordination and depth perception
- Able to work in inclement weather like extreme temperatures, rain, etc.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction or a related field
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Experience operating construction equipment and machinery preferred
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
