With a focus on evidence-based interventions and personalized care, we strive to empower children and families to thrive.

Position Overview: A board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) is a healthcare professional who studies the behavior of children and adults and creates plans to improve or change problematic behaviors. They often work with people who have developmental disabilities, brain injuries or emotional control, and social or behavioral issues. BCBAs might also help people manage stress or anger in healthier ways or achieve personal behavior goals. Some BCBAs specialize in one population of patients, such as children, people with autism, or the elderly. The responsibilities of a BCBA might include:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skill assessments to identify individualized goals and target behaviors.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including licensed therapists, psychologists, and educators, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Design and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to address challenging behaviors and promote skill acquisition.
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy sessions to children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and other related conditions.
  • Collect and analyze data on targeted behaviors and skill acquisition to monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed.
  • Train and supervise behavior technicians and other staff members on effective implementation of behavior intervention plans.
  • Conduct parent training sessions to teach caregivers strategies for managing challenging behaviors and promoting skill development at home.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including session notes, progress reports, and behavior data.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and participate in professional development activities.
  • Uphold ethical standards and guidelines set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

Qualifications:

  •  Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, behavior analysis, special education, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy with children, preferably in a clinical or school-based setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavior analytic principles, including functional behavior assessment (FBA), behavior intervention planning, and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that are evidence-based and tailored to the unique needs of each child.
  • Experience conducting parent training and providing support to families in implementing behavior management strategies.
  • Proficiency in using technology for data collection, analysis, and treatment planning.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining certification requirements.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
