Job SummaryThe BCBA will use evidence-based practices and technologies within a community setting to assist individuals with acquiring, retaining, improving, and generalizing behavioral, self-help, socialization, relational, and communication skills. The successful candidate will provide behavior support as part of a team that assists adults, treatment teams, and their families through crises to success.
Key Responsibilities- Implement Behavioral Support Interventions: Develop and implement behavioral support interventions and activities based on individual needs and ongoing assessment.
- Provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA): Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop Behavioral Support Plans for individuals.
- Supervise Support Staff: Supervise RVT/Behavior Support Specialist staff as needed to ensure high-quality services.
- Implement Individualized Behavior Support Plans: Implement the individualized Behavior Support Plan for each individual.
- Provide Positive Behavioral Supports: Provide Positive Behavioral Supports to individuals to promote positive behaviors.
- Train and Supervise Support Staff: Provide training and supervision to support staff providing ABA services.
- Modify Behavior Support Plans: Modify the Behavioral Support Plan based on frequent, systematic evaluation of direct observational data.
- Collaborate with Program Staff: Collaborate with program staff and participate as part of the clinical team to ensure comprehensive services.
- Master's Level Board Certified Behavioral Analyst: Possess a Master's degree in a relevant field and be Board Certified as a Behavior Analyst.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
- Crisis Management: Exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Experience with problem-solving against multiple priorities.
- Effective Communication: Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written forms.
- On-Call Coverage: Required to share on-call coverage with other clinicians to ensure around-the-clock crisis response.
- Exposure to Medical Conditions: May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases.
- Travel Requirements: While performing duties of the job, employee travels by automobile, utilizing own vehicle, and is exposed to changing weather conditions.
