About the Role

Community Options is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team in Dallas, TX.

Job Summary

The BCBA will use evidence-based practices and technologies within a community setting to assist individuals with acquiring, retaining, improving, and generalizing behavioral, self-help, socialization, relational, and communication skills. The successful candidate will provide behavior support as part of a team that assists adults, treatment teams, and their families through crises to success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Behavioral Support Interventions: Develop and implement behavioral support interventions and activities based on individual needs and ongoing assessment.
  • Provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA): Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop Behavioral Support Plans for individuals.
  • Supervise Support Staff: Supervise RVT/Behavior Support Specialist staff as needed to ensure high-quality services.
  • Implement Individualized Behavior Support Plans: Implement the individualized Behavior Support Plan for each individual.
  • Provide Positive Behavioral Supports: Provide Positive Behavioral Supports to individuals to promote positive behaviors.
  • Train and Supervise Support Staff: Provide training and supervision to support staff providing ABA services.
  • Modify Behavior Support Plans: Modify the Behavioral Support Plan based on frequent, systematic evaluation of direct observational data.
  • Collaborate with Program Staff: Collaborate with program staff and participate as part of the clinical team to ensure comprehensive services.
Requirements
  • Master's Level Board Certified Behavioral Analyst: Possess a Master's degree in a relevant field and be Board Certified as a Behavior Analyst.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
  • Crisis Management: Exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Experience with problem-solving against multiple priorities.
  • Effective Communication: Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written forms.
Working Conditions
  • On-Call Coverage: Required to share on-call coverage with other clinicians to ensure around-the-clock crisis response.
  • Exposure to Medical Conditions: May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases.
  • Travel Requirements: While performing duties of the job, employee travels by automobile, utilizing own vehicle, and is exposed to changing weather conditions.
