About The Role: As the Product Owner - AI and Analytics, you will be responsible for defining and executing a roadmap that balances customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape. You’ll play a pivotal role in connecting with customers, gathering their feedback, and translating those insights into a prioritized feature roadmap. Leveraging your understanding of AI, data science, and machine learning, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our AI-powered products deliver exceptional value to users and maintain a competitive edge in the market. Working with functional Product Owners, you will leverage your knowledge of Power BI to address our reporting and analytics needs.
Purpose Statement:
The Product Owner - AI and Analytics acts as the customer advocate and voice of the business, ensuring that AI-driven solutions are aligned with the company’s strategic goals and provide exceptional value to users. This role requires close engagement with customers to gather feedback and make data-driven decisions about the future of our AI and Analytics offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Product Vision: Develop a clear product vision for AI and machine learning features, ensuring alignment with market demands and company strategy.
- Customer Feedback and Engagement: Regularly interact with customers to gather feedback and use those insights to shape the AI feature roadmap and prioritize development efforts.
- Balancing Market Trends and Competitive Landscape: Stay informed about the latest AI and machine learning trends and continuously analyze the competitive landscape to keep our AI products innovative and relevant.
- Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the AI and Analytics product backlog, defining well-scoped user stories with precise acceptance criteria.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, marketing, and stakeholders, to develop AI-powered products.
- Quality Assurance: Work closely with the QA team to define acceptance tests and ensure AI features meet performance and usability standards.
- Product Release: Define scope, timelines, and feature sets for AI-related product releases, ensuring delivery aligns with customer expectations.
- Power BI Expertise: Leverage Power BI capabilities to address reporting and analytics needs, ensuring AI-driven insights are effectively presented.
- User-Centered Design: Advocate for user-centric design principles, ensuring AI solutions enhance the overall user experience and value.
- Training AI Models: Collaborate with data science teams to train and refine AI models, including experience working with Azure OpenAI Service.
- Feedback Loop: Establish mechanisms for collecting and analyzing user feedback to drive continuous improvement in our AI products.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Be the in-house expert on AI, analytics, and reporting, offering guidance and training to other departments.
Requirements
- Experience in AI and Machine Learning: 2+ years of product management experience in AI/ML or data analytics-focused products.
- Customer Engagement: Proven track record of working closely with customers, gathering feedback, and using it to drive product development and prioritization.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with data science methodologies, AI/ML frameworks, and analytics tools.
- Power BI Experience: Fundamental understanding of Power BI capabilities for reporting and analytics.
- Training AI Models: Experience training AI models and familiarity with Azure OpenAI Service.
- Agile Methodology: Experience with agile software development practices, backlog management, and product delivery.
- Strategic Vision: Proven ability to translate complex AI concepts into products that solve real-world business challenges.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications in AI/ML are a plus.
- Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated success working cross-functionally with technical and business stakeholders.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to articulate AI concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Thrives in Fast-Paced Environments: Experience working in high-growth, entrepreneurial, or startup environments.
