We are currently seeking a Senior IT Audit Advisory Consultant to join our team supporting the U.S. Air Force’s Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) program to establish and drive sustainable and auditable financial and IT processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Consultant in designing, developing, and implementing IT corrective action plans (CAPs) for self-identified deficiencies (SIDs) and external IPA findings
  • Perform CAP validation testing for completed remediation activities
  • Participate in baseline review assessments (e.g., FISCAM and FFMIA) to assess system readiness and remediate identified deficiencies
  • Monitor, track, and report on IT CAP statuses and third-party risk management (e.g., service providers)
  • Assist in the development of risk-based approaches for prioritization of IT findings
  • Perform advisory services for risk management framework (RMF) activities to support system team IT control implementations in accordance with financial management overlay
  • Report ad-hoc for IT metrics and measures
  • Assist in implementing practices for IT audit remediation

Qualifications:

  • At least three years of professional experience providing audit support to Federal government and/or Fortune 500 clients
  • CISA, CISSP, or CPA certification
  • Technical understanding of IT general controls (ITGC), Financial Information System Control Audit Manual (FISCAM), and National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication (NIST) 800-53v4
  • Ability to understand IT audit finding recommendations to translate those requirements to functional/technical stakeholders
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and activities across different workstreams
  • Ability to understand business processes in order to develop and implement new controls to mitigate or remediate identified IT audit gaps
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Active DOD SECRET security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an institution accredited in the United States
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
