Open Position: Software Engineer

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our data team at HST Pathways. As a Software Engineer in the data team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our software solutions while ensuring high levels of communication and collaboration with team members. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills along with expertise in SQL queries, AWS CloudFormation, and Step Functions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and maintain software solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Write efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Utilize AWS CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure resources in a scalable and automated manner.
  • Design and implement AWS Step Functions to orchestrate complex workflows and automate business processes.
  • Speak to customers via Microsoft team meeting.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure smooth functioning of software applications.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating proficiency in SQL queries, AWS CloudFormation, and Step Functions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and customers.
  • Proficiency in programming language such as Python, Java or JavaScript.
  • AWS certifications in relevant areas would be advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
