Nationally ranked CPA firm is hiring REMOTE tax professionals who have experience working with insurance company clients. Also seeking Tax Managers and Tax Seniors who reside near Irvine, CA who have worked with clients in the Construction, Real Estate, Pro Athletes, Manufacturing and  Distribution industries. This a great opportunity to advance your tax career in this space, or learn a niche. Recent CPA firm experience is a must. All levels are needed for remote (Insurance experience only) or hybrid position (Irvine, CA).

Qualifications

Tax Senior and Tax Manager - Insurance Niche:

  • Must have preparation of insurance company tax return experience.
  • Experience with forms: 1120-PC, 1120 L, ASC 740, SSAP 101
  • Experience preparing more complex multi-state, consolidated corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns
  • Prepare and/or review returns 
  • Deliver tax services
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of this tech stack helpful: ProSystems FX, CCH engagement, Go Systems, One Source, Fast Tax
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • MA in Taxation preferred, not required
  • CPA license or on track to obtain (EA license is acceptable)
  • 3-5 years of recent public accounting experience
  • Insurance industry experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, multi-task, handle multiple assignments, and thrive with minimum supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • For Tax Manager same skills as listed below under Tax Manager skill set.

Tax Accountant - $68K - $78K

  • Deliver tax services
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of this tech stack helpful: ProSystems FX, CCH engagement, Go Systems, One Source, Fast Tax
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • MA in Taxation preferred, not required
  • CPA license or on track to obtain
  • 3-5 years of recent public accounting experience
  • Construction, Real Estate, Pro Athletes, Manufacturing, Distribution, Insurance industry experience a plus
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, multi-task, handle multiple assignments, and thrive with minimum supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Senior Tax Accountant - $78K – 93K

  • All the above
  • Experience preparing more complex multi-state, consolidated corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns
  • some tax return review

Tax Manager, CPA – 109K – 132K

  • All the above
  • Preparing and reviewing complex multi-state, consolidated corporation, partnership, and individual tax returns.
  • Work with other members of the tax practice to develop and sustain excellent client relationships
  • Advise clients on a full spectrum of individual, partnership, corporate, and trust and estate tax services.
  • Participate in the calculation and analysis of tax strategies for clients
  • CPA license required
  • Previous experience supervising and training staff
  • Ability to self-direct, effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines
