- Reconcile invoices and purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare and distribute payments to vendors, maintaining accurate records of transactions.
- Assist in the processing of payroll for employees, including calculating wages, and deductions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Handle inquiries from vendors and employees regarding payments and payroll matters, providing timely and professional assistance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate coding and classification of expenses.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations as needed.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in financial operations.
Qualifications of the Finance & Payroll Specialist:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and payroll processing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and payroll processing systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
