Job DescriptionJob Description

As the Senior Building Automation Systems Engineer you will provide strong technical leadership regarding the quality and efficiency of design by evaluating vendor’s drawings. You will ensure the proper operations of the building automation and control system.

Responsibilities

  • Develop specifications and scopes of work for the controls of facility environmental equipment.
  • Specify, and design various building automation and control systems.
  • Accountable to Facilities and Engineering for quality and efficiency of design.
  • Develop requirements documents, software specifications, commissioning, and validation protocols to ensure proper operations of the building control system.
  • Able to evaluate vendor drawings and submittal packages for proper and accurate design.
  • Work with owners IT and Validation departments, ensuring all their requirements are met.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to meet owners’ timelines.




Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years BAS experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field
  • Experience leading the process of system integration, commissioning Central Plant Optimization (CPO)
  • Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building sub-systems using various industry protocols
  • Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems
  • Siemens Desigo BMS design, configuration, operation, and maintenance.
  • Design capabilities in sequence of operations, network layouts and electrical schematics.
  • Background in working with BMS in regulated facilities with the ability to distinguish between qualified and non-qualified system requirements using GAMP principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Upgrade systems experience with Desigo
