We are seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Software Development Engineer II to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the development of our software products, driving innovation, and mentoring junior members of the engineering team. You will be responsible for helping lead the end-to-end software development processes of multiple software products and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs and industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
  • Architecture and Design: Lead complex software design and architecture, manage cross-functional projects, handle dependencies, and address bottlenecks. Provide escalations to management, balance business needs with technical constraints, and prioritize a superior customer experience.
  • Development: Hands-on coding and development of critical software components, setting a high standard for code quality, performance, and security.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver software solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Code Review: Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and best practices.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address technical challenges, proposing effective solutions to complex problems.
  • Participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies, breaking down complex problems into smaller achievable increments.
  • Design and implement new features and functionality for both web and mobile applications using Java, JavaScript, Junit, Log4J, Mockito, Angular, Typescript, React and React Native.
  • Contribute to product documentation. Includes, but not limited to, Architecture Diagrams, State Diagrams, Process Flows, Sequence Diagrams.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing needs of internal and external customers.
  • Make sense of ambiguity, define and plan programs in a fast paced and highly technical organization, and secure buy in from internal stakeholders.
  • Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related subject, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in software development, preferably with Java.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • AWS and Docker Container experience are a plus.
  • Fast-learner, able to leverage skills in one syntax/framework to learn another, including new libraries, frameworks, and technologies for solving the problem at hand.
  • Motivated Self-Starter with Strong Organizational, Time Management, Problem-Solving, and Communication Skills.
