RESIDENT RELATIONS SPECIALIST | PART TIME


The Resident Relations Specialist provides courteous and efficient support for residents, guests and employees at Academy Mapleton Hill (AMH). In addition, the Resident Relations Specialist will provide courteous and efficient experience-enhancing support to residents through the recommending and scheduling of daily activities and entertainment, including general information regarding AMH community life and Boulder area information.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct visitors to the community
  • Interact with residents and guests in a friendly and supportive manner
  • Answer telephone calls received at the front desk and direct/transfer calls to the appropriate location
  • Receive and arrange for distribution of mail, packages and vendor deliveries received at the front desk
  • Serve residents as primary contact for all resident needs, questions, and complaints,?forwarding resident requests for services to the applicable department and/or staff member
  • Assist with submission of work orders for facilities and maintenance?
  • Support the Resident Relations Manager with welcoming new resident move-ins?
  • Build a network of local contacts to ensure high quality recommendations for residents, families and guests.???
  • Assist with booking reservations for community wellness, massage, acupuncture, private exercise sessions.?
  • Assist in setting up guest room reservations
  • Create welcome cards and take chocolate to guest rooms
  • Escort visitors to guest rooms or specific residences
  • Take dining orders and deliver to dining manager
  • Manage permission forms for all guests using the pool
  • Manage the Luxor mail system
  • Update resident list to share with staff
  • Send morning update to staff
  • Handle emergency call phone when security and MOD are not on site
  • First point of contact for any medical issues and/or emergencies when MOD not on site
  • Provide residents with information on AMH community services, policies and procedures.?
  • Protect residents’ rights, records, and privacy as required by federal, state and local regulations
  • Practice AMH’s Service Standards in all work situations
  • Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Spanish a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel and Word
  • Be organized and efficient in managing your workload Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work flexible hours and occasional holidays, as requested
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, bend, squat and push a wheelchair containing a 150 lb. resident
  • Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs.
  • Must possess a valid driver license and have a clean pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) (will be listed on insurance policies for AMH & be subject to an annual MVR check)
  • Empathy toward the elderly and to geriatric issues and challenges

Education and Experience

  • High school degree, or equivalent, a plus
  • Experience working in hospitality or similar field, a plus
