Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and analyze property assessments and tax liabilities.
  • Research tax laws, statutes, and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and review property tax returns and supporting documentation.
  • Provide support for property tax audits and appeals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial and property data for tax reporting.
  • Assess and mitigate property tax risks and identify tax-saving opportunities.
  • Communicate with taxing authorities and external tax advisors regarding tax matters.
  • Review and reconcile property tax assessments and payments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of property tax strategies.
  • Conduct financial analysis to forecast property tax expenses and liabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of property tax laws, regulations, and assessment practices.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Excellent knowledge of tax reporting requirements and compliance standards.
  • Ability to conduct in-depth research and analysis of tax-related issues.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Professional certification such as CMI, CMI-B, or relevant credentials is a plus.
  • Experience working with property tax software systems is preferred.
  • Proven track record of building effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong ethics and integrity in handling confidential tax information.
  • Ability to adapt to changing tax laws and regulatory requirements.
