POSITION SUMMARY:

The Internet sales representative is directly responsible for answering internet leads and helping customers with research and information. The Internet sales representative position is a

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses
  • Attend product and sales training courses, as requested by sales manager
  • Answer customer leads in a timely manner
  • Maintain a minimum of 12% closing percentage for internet leads.
  • Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot
  • Display a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Acknowledge and comply with the deferral, state, and local laws that govern retail auto sales
  • Keep aware of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Ensure that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery before the customer's arrival
  • Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up system
  • Deliver vehicles for customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty, and paperwork
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department
  • Follow up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, “we-owes,” and special requests to meet customer expectations.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and improves customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule a first service appointment for purchasing customers
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year - to determine how to utilize time better and plan more effectively
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner
  • Continuously develop product and sales acumen to become the vehicle authority. Know the ins and outs of product offerings, optional packages, and the latest technologies.
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
