  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, product managers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prototyping of new mechanical designs, evaluating their effectiveness and recommending improvements.
  • Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of mechanical components for manufacturing purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards throughout the design and development process.
  • Investigate and resolve mechanical issues that arise during product testing, manufacturing, or customer use, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to select materials and manufacturing processes that optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of mechanical components.
  • Participate in design reviews and present technical information to stakeholders, including management and customers, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in relevant technologies, proactively applying new knowledge to enhance product development.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the electrical components industry.
  • Expertise in mechanical design, analysis, and optimization, with a focus on electrical components and systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Solid understanding of material properties and mechanical behavior.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines related to electrical components and systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with working with supply chain and vendors.
  • Experience operating in a manufacturing environment a plus.
