Apollon Wealth Management is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist who will oversee and supervise the payroll functions of the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.  
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, bonuses, commissions, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Administer payroll updates including new hires, terminations, changes in pay rates, and adjustments in benefits.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Maintain employee records related to payroll in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.
  • Facilitate audits by preparing and providing payroll records and documentation.
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll software, systems, and procedures.
  • Audit benefits bills and automate HSA feeds to ADP Workforce Now.
  • Manage updates to workers' compensation as per state requirements.
  • Perform monthly audit of 401K contributions to ADP Workforce Now.
  • Implement and oversee the rollout of ADP Workforce Now timeclock system.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments on payroll-related matters.

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred

Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and management.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
