WHAT IS THE ROLE?


We are looking for a team member who is an energetic, hardworking individual with a positive and self-starting attitude to fill this position.  As part of the Business Development team, reporting directly to a Sales Manager, you will own the critically important role in continuing HPL’s aggressive growth plans.  A HPL 360 Account Executive is passionate about driving commercial results and will be asked to:


  • Make calls to establish & build business relationships
  • Communicate with existing customers to obtain new business & grow your portfolio
  • Resolve issues to ensure pickups and deliveries are successful and on time
  • Serve as primary contact for customer needs and issues
  • Participate in a competitive team environment, attend team meetings and work to grow as a sales organization focused on fun, success and accountability

 

Your First Year at HPL:


  • First Week: You’ll learn the history or HPL, meet your team, and begin learning our software. You’ll receive training on our industry and sales techniques that will set you up for success. We will get you a mentor.
  • First Month: You’ll set goals for your success, create your own lead list, and begin landing deals to keep our loads moving. You will become very familiar with our TMS (DAT) and tap into our Logistics Coordinators for their dispatch expertise.
  • First Six Months: You will review your career path with HPL and discuss your future with your manager. You will also plan development activities to get you on the correct path. You will also consider teaching others as they join the team.
  • First Year: You will become an expert on HPL’s offerings and software, continue setting your goals, and grow your book of business.

  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • Self-motivated individual with issue resolution skills
  • Ability to thrive under deadlines and hit designated metrics
  • Proven sales success and ability to cultivate and nurture customer relationships
  • Ability to set and exceed professional revenue goals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management software.
