Responsibilities:
- Maintain accrual-based accounting records
- Prepare financial statements and reports using accrual accounting principles
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis
- Help ensure compliance with government contracting regulations
- Participate in internal and external audits

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting methods
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA licensure
- Familiarity with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) compliance requirements
- Experience with the Treasury Invoice Processing Platform (IPP)
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Previous experience in government contract accounting

- Financial statement preparation
- Government contracting regulations
- Treasury IPP system (preferred)
