We are seeking a talented Mobile Security Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. The Mobile Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect our mobile applications, devices, and data from cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct security assessments and penetration testing of mobile applications (iOS, Android) to identify vulnerabilities and security weaknesses.
  • Design and implement security controls and best practices for mobile application development, including secure coding guidelines, encryption, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and developers to integrate security features and requirements into mobile application design and development processes.
  • Perform static and dynamic analysis of mobile application binaries to identify security issues and recommend remediation actions.
  • Monitor mobile application traffic and behavior for security anomalies and potential threats; implement intrusion detection and prevention mechanisms.
  • Stay updated with mobile security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors; propose and implement security improvements and countermeasures.
  • Develop and maintain secure mobile application architectures and frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Conduct security reviews and audits of third-party mobile applications and libraries integrated into our products.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams on secure mobile application development practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Participate in incident response activities related to mobile security incidents; coordinate with stakeholders to mitigate risks and address security breaches.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst are a plus).
  • Proven experience (X years) as a Mobile Security Engineer, Mobile Application Developer with a security focus, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android), mobile application architectures, and security models.
  • Hands-on experience with mobile application security testing tools (e.g., AppScan, Checkmarx, Burp Suite Mobile Assistant).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Swift, or Objective-C; familiarity with mobile development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter) is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of mobile security protocols (e.g., OAuth, SSL/TLS), cryptographic algorithms, and secure storage mechanisms.
  • Experience with mobile device management (MDM) solutions, mobile threat detection, and mobile application management (MAM) platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
