Candidate Requirements:

Must reside at a commutable distance

  • US Citizenship is required
  • Current Active Top Secret Clearance is required
  • MS in in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science
  • Familiarity with deep learning approaches and models
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate on highly technical topics
  • 3-5 years of experience with Hadoop, Tableau, R, SAS, SQL, and/or Python
  • AI/ML policy
  • Advise senior leaders on industry best practice in AI/ML
  • Technology Integration and Implementation
  • Implement AI/ML models and
  • Development of ethical, deployable, scalable, and maintainable data science solutions in DoD set-up

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

The Data Scientist will provide data management, data science and artificial intelligence/machine learning expertise to create policies, governance, standards, metrics and tools based on DoD, IC and DAF guidance in support of the Space Force, Chief Technology and Innovation Office (SF/CTIO). Duties include:

  • Reports on latest research, analysis and studies in data management and AI/ML
  • Space Force Annex to the DAF AI Strategy.
  • Space Force Instruction on AI/ML Integration and Management
  • Space Force Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Sandbox
  • Assist Assessment and Accreditation of AI/ML capabilities
  • Space Force Annex to the DAF AI Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM)
