This position involves working with cutting-edge technology to enhance the Navy's capabilities in unmanned systems. You will be responsible for a range of tasks centered around the Autonomy Baseline Repository, including the setup and management of repositories for source code, artifacts, models, and documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

• Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) Requirements: Develop a comprehensive list of required OQE that software vendors must produce to integrate Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCIs) into the Autonomy Baseline. Ensure these requirements align with quality and security standards.

• Artifact Repository Structure: Design and formalize the directory structure for the Autonomy Baseline Artifact Repository within the RAIL. This repository will house CSCIs and their supporting OQE, ensuring organized and accessible storage.

• Naming and Versioning Conventions: Establish and document naming and versioning conventions for CSCIs integrating into the Autonomy Baseline. Ensure these conventions promote consistency, traceability, and ease of management.

• Source Code Repository Structure: Create and formalize the directory structure for the Autonomy Baseline Source Code Repository within the RAIL. This repository will contain issue tracking, source code, and supporting documentation, facilitating efficient development and maintenance processes.

• Integration and Deployment: Assist in the integration and deployment of autonomous systems within the RAIL environment. Ensure smooth and efficient integration of new systems and components into the Autonomy Baseline.

• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software vendors, developers, and project managers, to ensure successful implementation and integration of autonomous systems. Provide technical support and guidance as needed.

• Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all processes and repositories comply with relevant standards and regulations. Maintain detailed documentation of repository structures, naming conventions, and versioning practices.



Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in repository management, software integration, and autonomous systems.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in software development tools and technologies, such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. Experience with repository management and version control systems is essential.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, particularly in developing and formalizing processes and structures.


Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified Developer) are a plus.


Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby.

• Experience with front-end frameworks/libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Familiarity with back-end technologies and frameworks such as Node.js, Spring, or Django.

• Understanding of database systems, both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.

• Understanding of software development best practices, including design patterns, testing, and CI/CD.
