What does a Electrical Systems Specialist do?

As a new Electrical Systems Specialist at SLEMCO, you can expect to work closely with our team to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting routine inspections, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring that all systems are operating efficiently. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement solutions, as well as assist in the installation of new equipment. This position requires a Monday through Friday schedule with an on-call rotation to address any emergencies that may arise.

What you need to be successful

To excel as an Electrical Systems Specialist at SLEMCO, candidates should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, ideally coupled with two years of vocational or technical training in Electrical Technology or a related field and at minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience and a solid understanding of leading practices in transmission relay are essential. Additionally, applicants should demonstrate strong business acumen specific to the Utility industry and showcase proficient planning and project management skills. The ability to leverage software and tools effectively to troubleshoot issues and optimize electrical systems will be crucial in this role.
