Job Summary Description:

The Facilities Laborer plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency and cleanliness of our facilities. This position supports facility operations through a variety of tasks, including cleaning, light maintenance, and equipment handling. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical tasks efficiently.

Essential Job Accountabilities:

  • Perform regular cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting, to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks, including fixing doors, handling minor electrical work, and other facility repair needs as directed.
  • Operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, move furniture, and manage incoming shipments from other facilities.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and contributing to a safe work environment.
  • Provide general labor support for various facility operations, including light construction tasks, groundskeeping, and assisting with setup for events or projects.


Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role preferred.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Experience with light maintenance tasks and physical labor.


Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. At times will be working around large construction equipment, must be safety conscience.
