We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority - East (SLFPA-E). As a Laborer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks to maintain the flood control system and associated facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Perform physical labor to cut and trim grass within the SLFPA-E's Right-of-Way, including floodwalls, poles, fences, dead-end streets, and trees.
- Remove trash and debris from the SLFPA-E's Right-of-Way.
- Perform miscellaneous labor duties such as cleaning of maintenance yard, washing vehicles, trimming trees, graffiti removal, and sand-bagging as required.
- Filling of new sandbags as required and handling of sandbags as required.
- No experience or training is required.
- Ability to work under close supervision from a Laborer Foreman or other employee of higher grade.
- Ability to perform physical labor in a variety of weather conditions.
