POSITION SUMMARY

This position oversees maintenance of our company's technical infrastructure operations across multiple locations in Cambridge, Burlington, and Ann Arbor MI. The position requires a strong background in IT infrastructure, system operations and team management. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of our technical systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead, manage, and train outsourced MSP team of engineers located both onsite and remote to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the design, deployment, and maintenance of the company's technical infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their infrastructure needs and provide technical solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and compliance measures to safeguard company data and systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Managing helpdesk ticketing system
  • Maintaining compliance with current regulations and procedures
  • Managing identity and access controls
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the company's infrastructure and operations.
  • Developing and implementing SLA’s and standards.
  • Plan weekly and monthly maintenance patching windows

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in, engineering, computer science, information systems
  • 5+ years in IT Infrastructure or 10+ yrs of relevant work experience
  • Working in GxP environments
  • Experience working with PHI and HIPAA
  • Experience with managing external onsite MSP
  • Experience with MS Azure and AWS
  • Experience with LAN / WAN and Wi-Fi
  • Experience dealing with vendors and negotiating contracts
  • Experience with VOIP phone technology
  • Experience with Office 365 and SharePoint environments
  • Understanding and experience with formal project delivery methodologies
  • Cybersecurity experience
  • Knowledge in deploying and monitoring technical solutions across a complex, integrated landscape.
  • Infrastructure and Operations leadership experience including strong leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills, along with strong influencing and interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to understand, design and define strategy and execution of strategy and tasks.
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Must be a self-starter, results-oriented and have a track record of timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong collaboration skills with peers and customers
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation/conflict resolution skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with OPCenter EXPH
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Experience with Server virtualization
  • Experience with SQL

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Occasional off hours and weekend support as needed.
