Job Summary:

The Ticket Scanning Assistant Manager leads Ticket Scanning Operations across Park City Mountain and is responsible for executing departmental, resort, and company-wide strategies. This role reports directly to the Ticket Scanning Manager. The Ticket Scanning Assistant Manager is held accountable to delivering an experience of a lifetime for our employees and guests, which, in turn, drives Vail Resorts growth and profitability around the world.

 

The Ticket Scanning Assistant Manager is focused on scheduling, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, development, labor optimization, day-to-day operations, and guest service execution. The Assistant Manager is in a unique position to lead and influence the Ticket Scanning department culture and standard operating procedure, and through that work, impact the resort and company as a whole.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a high performing team through hiring and training in accordance and alignment with company goals and strategies
  • Actively participate in the leadership development of others through feedback, as well as participation in creation and implementation of leadership learning opportunities
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all products, department objectives, and scanning processes, and lead others to the same understanding
  • Assist in development and execution of departmental strategies based around key performance indicators, including:  safety, scanning accuracy, guest service, employee knowledge, employee engagement, workforce management, and budget management.
  • Foster a customer-focused environment and mindset to ensure delivery of an exceptional guest experience through all stages of the guest journey
  • Promote, embrace, and adhere to Vail Resorts’ Mission and Core Values

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to work outside, on your feet, in all weather conditions for long periods of time
  • Track record of making independent decisions, and taking ownership of outcomes
  • Ability to stay enthusiastic and perform well in busy and stressful situations
  • Willingness to work holidays and weekends as necessary
  • Organization, accountability, responsibility, and punctuality
  • Proven ability to make independent judgment calls that are in line with departmental and company values and standard operating procedures. 
  • Professional guest service experience
  • Previous Vail Resorts leadership experience preferred

 

The expected pay range is $28. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
