Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients
  • Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes before serving
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment and utensils
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe kitchen environment
  • Assist with inventory management and notify supervisors of stock shortages
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen manager

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role in a restaurant
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to handle high-temperature equipment and work in a high-pressure environment
