Los Angeles, United States Metropolis Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

Location: Santa Monica, CA or New York City, NY (Hybrid)

The Company

Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision technology to enable frictionless, checkout-free experiences in the real world. Today, we are reimagining parking to enable millions of consumers to just "drive in and drive out." We envision a future where people transact in the real world with a speed, ease and convenience that is unparalleled, even online. Tomorrow, we will power checkout-free experiences anywhere you go to make the everyday experiences of living, working and playing remarkable - giving us back our most valuable asset, time.

The Role

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Product Manager to make every visit remarkable for the millions of parkers who use our diverse network of locations across the US.

Your mission is to drive operational effectiveness across our portfolio by building location management systems that direct when and how our team acts on behalf of our customers. You'll measure location health shaped by the objectives of our real estate partners and set the standard for success. You'll build workflows across the location lifecycle such that we make a great first impression at launch and deliver high-performing ongoing operations.

You'll lead a team of engineers, designers, and analysts and operate in a highly cross-functional capacity touching virtually every department across our business. You and the team will use a constellation of data and best-in-class AI and analytical methods to get ahead of operational problems and build the tooling that we need for our teams to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic product vision for key product features and platform capabilities that promote a great user experience, deliver business results, and accrue value to the platform
  • Own product roadmaps, communicate and manage deadlines, and contribute to the vision of the larger product ecosystem
  • Lead agile product development using data, feedback from the field, interviews with users and experts, competitive analysis, and qualitative and quantitative research
  • Design clear requirements and success metrics to align and drive teamwork efforts
  • Conduct QA and post-release follow-ups to ensure successful product rollouts
  • Identify, track, and solve for issues, bugs, and obstacles impacting our success
  • Understand and decompose complex problems into manageable components
  • Build strong relationships with engineers, operations, customers, and executives to lead development efforts, gather feedback, drive adoption, and measure our success

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience
  • 6+ years of product management experience
  • Experience owning multiple significant B2B product initiatives with measurable business impact, preferably with an emphasis on platform infrastructure and reliability across complex technical systems
  • Strong working knowledge of modern web technologies, distributed computing, and system design
  • Experience with cameras, embedded systems, and machine learning is a plus
  • Strong user empathy and a knack for brilliant user-centric design
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial drive and ability to thrive in open-ended environments
  • Positive, open, and team-oriented approach to work
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to identify, assess, and prioritize trade-offs
  • Comfortable using data to shape decision making
  • Willingness to travel occasionally

When you join Metropolis, you'll join a team of world-class product leaders and engineers, building an ecosystem of technologies at the intersection of parking, mobility, and real estate. Our goal is to build an inclusive culture where everyone has a voice and the best idea wins. You will play a key role in building and maintaining this culture as our organization grows. The anticipated base salary for this position is $130,000.00 to 190,000.00 annually. The actual base pay offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and/or place of employment. Base pay is one component of Metropolis's total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
