The Company is seeking a full-time Associate Scientist for its Cell Characterization lab in Madison, WI. This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of slides for G-Banding and FISH
  • G-Banding of Chromosomes from human and other species.
  • General short cell culturing using sterile techniques.
  • Independently analyze data and identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Effectively collaborate with colleagues.
  • Quality Control of all instruments.
  • General lab operations such as autoclaving and preparing lab materials.
  • Maintain all lab equipment and follow all safety protocols.
  • Support continuous improvements efforts and suggest ideas for improvement.
  • Support and maintain 5S and Lean concepts.
  • Administration duties as needed.

*Other duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology or similar field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and understanding of lab equipment and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOP’s.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and thorough records.
  • Proficient in sterilization techniques
  • Experience in a GLP environment is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with standard molecular biology techniques a plus
