Position Summary
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist I is responsible for conducting laboratory analyses on clinical samples in accordance with established protocols. Key responsibilities include specimen processing, performing complex analytical tests, and ensuring quality assurance and control measures are adhered to. This role requires meticulous documentation of all laboratory activities under the supervision of the Laboratory Medical Director. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist I will also troubleshoot and resolve issues in line with best laboratory practices.
Training Schedule: Standard working hours for initial training.
Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive):
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses following standard operating procedures.
- Implement and document quality control measures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Prepare necessary reagents for testing.
- Identify and resolve basic testing issues.
- Review and interpret patient results as required.
- Assist in training new laboratory staff on procedures.
- Ensure adequate inventory of laboratory supplies.
- Participate in the validation of new equipment and procedures.
- Uphold high standards of quality and safety in the laboratory.
- Manage daily testing and project requirements efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Engage in quality assurance activities and preparation for inspections.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Knowledge of relevant laboratory regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field from an accredited institution.
- Experience in molecular testing methodologies.
