Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHealthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Social Worker I. This Social Worker would be working with patients daily, whom with multiple physical and mental disorders, age variance, cultural backgrounds, and religious beliefs.
This is a 90 day assignment with start date February 29, 2024.

Essential Functions:
  • Interviews and vestiges and employees other data gathering methods to acquire diagnostic information from clients
  • Identify as assesses and treat social educational physical and physiological dysfunction among referees and clients
  • Determines program eligibility
  • Recommend placement facilities and develops service plans
  • Explains qualifications to applicants wishing to be licensees for foster homes and or residential care facilities
  • Follows up on client progress and evaluates treatment plans
  • Prepares and rise professional reports letters and case summaries
  • Supervises visits between patients and children
  • Transports children to appointments at therapy sessions and doctor visits
  • Coordinates training for clients and the welfare to work program with employers and training programs
  • Negotiate an executes contracts with client employers
  • Complete statistical surveys and research projects relevant to program activities
  • Exchanges information with coworkers and individuals outside of the agency
  • Reads literature laws and regulations related to social work profession
  • Attends training to develop and enhance social work knowledge and skills
  • May act as a case manager in adult services employment services or in home support services as assigned

  • Comprehend and apply laws regulations policies and procedures relative to provision of social services
  • Appropriately identify assess and diagnose clients and develop appropriate treatment plans utilizing community resources and psychosocial treatment modalities
  • Interview for the purpose of acquiring diagnostic information and developing treatment plans
  • Exercise tact objectivity sensitivity strategy and judgment in dealing with a variety of people in a variety of situations
  • Communicate effectively with people of various educational socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds
  • Establish and maintain effective and coordinated work relationships with individuals groups and community agencies
  • Write clear concise and accurate case summaries and reports
  • Counsel clients regarding money management and other basic life skills
  • Manage a large caseload within deadlines and established agency policies
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Establish effective working relationships with management employees and employee representatives and to the public representing diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Treat county employees representatives of outside agencies and members of the public with courtesy and respect
  • Assess the customers immediate needs and ensure customers receive of needed services through personal service or making appropriate referrals
  • Exercise appropriate judgment and answering questions and releasing information
  • Analyze and project consequences of decisions and or recommendations
  • Communicate effectively with a variety of individuals representing diverse cultures and backgrounds and function calmly in situations which require a high degree of sensitivity tact and diplomacy
  • Provides responsive high quality service to county employees representatives of outside agencies and members of the public by providing accurate, complete and up-to-date information, and the courteous, efficient and timely manner
Education and Experience:
  • Education, Training, and/or experience that demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills and ability listed above.
  • An Associate's degree from and accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency which must have included at least twenty four(24) units of social science, behavioral science, or a closely related field
  • Two years of social casework or eligibility casework experience with a public or private agency/organization
  • Two years of any combination of college level education and social services work experience as stated above
