Pay Range: $22.50-$33.00/hr. (DOE) Summary:LEAD Technical is currently looking for an Electrical Production Lead for our client in Sussex, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership of a team of Electronic Assemblers and Technicians, with responsibility for schedules, priorities, and development. This is a DIRECT HIRE position that is available immediately. Responsibilities:  
  • Manage activities of a team of 5 Assemblers and Technicians with responsibility for individual and team output.
  • Prioritize and prepare work by reviewing instructions, parts lists, and studying instructions and specifications.
  • Anticipate, plan, and recommend space, equipment, and staffing needs required.
  • Submit material and equipment purchase requests.
  • Oversee department inventory to ensure organization and expected quantities and locations.
  • Perform product quality checks, both mechanical and electrical. 
  • Work with other departments and leads to ensure smooth production and schedule adherence.
  • Resolve team members’ questions and problems. 
  • Communicate significant product, process, quality, or safety concerns to the leader immediately.  
  • Complete required reports, documentation, and approvals. 
  • Participate in Lean initiatives. Recommend and help implement improvement across all departments.
  • Write, update, and communicate department procedures, checklists, and instructions.  
  • Participate in department’s hiring and corrective personnel decisions.  Oversee time-off schedules.
  • Perform technician and assembly work approximately 25%-50% of the time. 
 Qualifications:  
  • 5 years’ experience wiring panels and complex machines from prints, schematics, and technical instructions.
  • Associates of Applied Science Degree, or equivalent experience and knowledge
  • Experience and knowledge of basic principles of electricity, including knowledge of electrical and electronic components, motors and motor control concepts, to include various testing and measuring equipment. 
  • Prior experience directing and developing a staff of 5 or more employees.
