Monday thru Friday

8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This position analyzes patient records to ensure compliance with governmental and insurance company reimbursement policies, Coding/Abstracting of patient records, Maintaining Chart Locator, Birth Certificates, customer service.

Requirements

  • Education required for non-credentialed candidates. Must have an Associate’s Degree from an accredited College or University in Health Information Management or a Coding Certificate.
  • Preference of Certification in one or more of the following: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, CPC
  • Basic computer skills. Prior coding experience preferred.
  • Must be capable of communicating clearly (reading, writing and speaking) in the English Language. Must be capable of reading and comprehending written policies/procedures and operation/maintenance instructions. Must have the ability to receive and relay phone or other business related messages.
