Overview:

Our client is an independent, national insurance and financial services firm created in 2016 through a merger of 24 like-minded, high-performing, entrepreneurial firms. This is a 6 month contract opportunity with the opportunity to convert fulltime. It is 100% remote with occasional travel (reimbursed).

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Reporting Analyst to join our team. They are looking to hire a talented Senior Reporting Analyst with strong technical skills to join our their Data and Analytics Reporting team.

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements and develop visually engaging, accurate and detailed reports for use at all levels of management across the organization.
  • Maintain and update reporting infrastructure, including data collection systems, data processing systems as well as reports and visualizations.
  • Lead on reporting, analytics and data exploration and recommend improvements.
  • Create, update and edit functional and technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.
  • Build, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting, dashboards and analysis on key business metrics and challenges.
  • Translate complex analytics tasks into easily consumable outputs to guide data-driven decisions with various stakeholders.

Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a business report developer, business analyst or financial analyst with a strong technical emphasis.
    • Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to successfully interact with technical and non-technical colleagues.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time and prioritize projects.

  • Requirements:
    • Professional background in database fundamentals, including design, development, and report development.
    • SQL at an intermediate or advanced level, including experience with complex joins, views, and stored procedures.
    • Exposure to data analysis services, including Amazon Redshift, Microsoft Power-BI.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience working with formulas, pivot tables, and data connections.

  • Preferred Skills:
    • Demonstrated ability to produce business reporting solutions based on the following Microsoft technologies: Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Pipeline, PowerBI, SQL Server, SSIS and PowerShell.
    • Database server administration experience.
