SUMMARY:

The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an efficient and consistent flow of merchandise through the receiving department. The Receiving Supervisor must ensure that supplies are located and distributed to proper departments in an effective and efficient manner as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Supervises the activities of the receiving and warehouse personnel to ensure the smooth receipt and delivery of products.
  2. Plan and prepare the weekly schedule of the receiving personnel to ensure the proper coverage and uninterrupted service.
  3. Maintain accurate payroll records.
  4. Enforce all company and departmental policies and procedures in a timely manner. Perform corrective counseling when needed.
  5. Order product for warehous.
  6. Verifies all deleveries against bill of landing and receiving worksheet.
  7. Receive incoming shipments/deliveries from vendors,counts,measures, or weights them. Checks for quaity of product. Ensure product meets specs and attach date identification.
  8. Coordinate with the different departments regarding shipments to be returned.
  9. Sees to it that products are properly stored in freezers/storage areas and internal shipment of items are conducted utilizing the first in first out procedures to avoid spoilage and damage of products
  10. Assists in the receiving, pulling orders and various warehouse activities
  11. .See to the general cleanliness of the receiving docks and warehouse storage facilities.
  12. Maintain locations and par levels of Inventory Items.
  13. Assist Inventory Control in conducting inventorie.
  14. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises up to 3 team members, with supervisory duties including training, scheduling, assigning and directing work, assisting with performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and creating schedules to ensure proper coverage.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED required. Previous warehouse/receiving experience in casino industry preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Health Card required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
