San Francisco, United States Workato Full time
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout Workato

Workato is the only integration and automation platform that is as simple as it is powerful — and because it's built to power the largest enterprises, it is quite powerful.

Simultaneously, it's a low-code/no-code platform. This empowers any user (dev/non-dev) to painlessly automate workflows across any apps and databases.

We're proud to be named a leader by both Forrester and Gartner and trusted by 7,000+ of the world's top brands such as Box, Grab, Slack, and more. But what is most exciting is that this is only the beginning.

Why join us?

Ultimately, Workato believes in fostering a flexible, trust-oriented culture that empowers everyone to take full ownership of their roles. We are driven by innovation and looking for team players who want to actively build our company.

But, we also believe in balancing productivity with self-care. That's why we offer all of our employees a vibrant and dynamic work environment along with a multitude of benefits they can enjoy inside and outside of their work lives.

If this sounds right up your alley, please submit an application. We look forward to getting to know you

Responsibilities

The Product-led-growth (PLG) team at Workato is looking for a Group Product Manager to help maximize our products' adoption and usage growth. This creates immense value for our customers as utilizing more of our products makes running their business easier. This profoundly impacts Workato's business as creating more value for our customers drives higher retention and growth. Driving growth and usage by helping our customers find more value through products is critical to scaling our business. You'll work with an established team of seasoned growth leaders in engineering, product, design, data science, marketing, and sales.

In this role, you will also be responsible to:

  • Be the domain expert for our product adoption customer experience.

  • Define, understand, and improve key funnels and metrics.

  • Build and manage the roadmap for product-led growth, onboarding, activation, and adoption activities.

  • Work closely with cross-functional leadership from the product, marketing, sales, success, and finance to deliver against key shared business goals.

  • Connect the dots across experiences and teams to create a cohesive customer experience.

  • Developing generalized messaging principles for when and how to use messaging across our different channels.

  • Launching new messaging channels and optimizing current channels to engage consumers inside and outside of Workato.

  • Seamlessly move between diving into the details––analyzing data, building models, getting into technical and design nuances––to strategy planning and presenting your work to senior leadership.

  • Ship minimum-viable products to test your hypotheses while delivering a quality customer experience.

  • Capture insights from growth experiments' successes and failures, and communicate them to the broader team.

  • Partner across the organization to drive and evangelize experimentation and all things

  • Uncover and develop growth loops across different stages of the user journey.

  • Drive the product strategy, features, and experiments with a dedicated team of engineers, designers, and data scientists.

  • Rapidly execute and iterate, emphasizing user delight, impact, and learning. Regularly take risks and make calculated tradeoffs.

RequirementsQualifications / Experience / Technical Skills
  • 8+ years of product management experience driving product adoption and business growth. Bonus points for SaaS Growth experience.

  • 3+ years of experience building, mentoring, and leading a world-class team of Product Managers and delivering business results

  • Technical solid foundation and ability to pick up and understand product/tech concepts (e.g., an engineering degree and product experience)

  • Distinctive problem-solving, strategic, and analytical capabilities (Excel required, SQL)

  • Expertise in creating product guides and tutorials using Pendo is a plus.

  • Strong communications skills are required – both verbal and written

  • Demonstrated record of working both independently and with a team to own cross-functional initiatives and exceed performance expectations & metrics

  • MBA or equivalent experience (e.g., management consulting) and technical undergrad degree (e.g., computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, economics)

Soft Skills / Personal Characteristics
  • Ability to navigate and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic, hyper-growth business environment with a track record of building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders

  • Data and hypothesis-driven, business-minded. You know how to expertly leverage qualitative and quantitative data to develop and execute experiments and A/B tests optimized for learning. You can measure the business impact of your work and tie it back to company goals.

  • Customer obsessed. You're passionate about hitting business goals and intimately knowing our customers, and creating the best experiences to meet their needs. You know that the key to business growth is through happy customers.

  • Collaborative execution. You're a great listener and naturally bring the team and stakeholders along, yet you don't hesitate to make hard decisions when needed. You push the pace, and people feel like they do their best work with you.

  • Objective learning. You get more excited when you're wrong than when you're right. You optimize for learning and love peeling back the layers. Your favorite questions are "why" and "why not."

  • Systems thinking. You enjoy complex challenges and navigate them deftly. You have a wealth of frameworks and mental models that you rely on to unpack problems and arrive at elegant solutions.

  • You can take rough themes and big ideas and turn them into a roadmap of features, experiments, and research with minimal guidance.
