Job Title: Senior Claims Coordinator

Job Summary:

This position supports the Risk Management and Safety Department by managing WC claims and Third-Party Claims and ensuring safety compliance within the organization. The management of claims will involve timely contact of all involved parties to determine if any benefits are due and to provide proper medical treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure claim loss reserve performance and practices are accurate, consistent, and timely.
  • Act as a liaison between injured employees, management, medical providers, claims adjusters, and attorneys.
  • Investigate, set loss reserves, and settle claims.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate claims, insurance, and risk policies, programs, and services.
  • Analyze safety statistics and prepare reports, metrics, charts, and required documentation for compliance.
  • Research accidents or losses to identify causes and recommend preventive measures.
  • Work with members of the Safety team to complete record-keeping, filling, logs, and other records.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Claims Management/administrative role with a good understanding of workers' compensation and third-party insurance and claims.
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain high-quality outcomes within tight time frames and cost-effective use of resource.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills appropriate for all levels of an organization.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to influence and educate clients on policy and best practices.
  • Must demonstrate comfort speaking in front of groups.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
