Position Overview:

The Production Analyst is responsible for evaluating and improving processes for the production of company products. The analyst will document and study existing processes, identify points of inefficiency or potential disruptions, and recommend solutions to streamline operations and improve productivity. The analyst will play an active role in strategic planning for optimizing workflow and building operational frameworks and procedures. This individual will configure and implement systems to automate tasks and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather data from production processes and equipment
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks and areas for improvement
  • Develop and maintain production performance metrics
  • Evaluate current processes and workflows
  • Perform cycle counts and analyze variances for operational or workflow improvements
  • Identify inefficiencies and make recommendations to improve productivity and reduce waste
  • Analyze production costs and work with procurement to optimize material usage and inventory levels
  • Prepare detailed reports on production performance, efficiency and cost savings
  • Document process changes and improvements
  • Create training manuals or guides for processes
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Administration preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience with data analysis, process improvement, and cost reduction
  • Capacity to perform work accurately and thoroughly, seeing both the detail and the big picture
  • Skilled in clear and succinct written communication
  • Work prioritization and effective problem-solving skills are critical
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
