SUMMARY:

We are seeking compassionate Resident Care Associates-DSP’s or CNA’s to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a Juneau residential senior care living facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with seniors and long-time Alaskans.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Resident Care Associate


· Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, hygiene, and mobility.

· Monitor and document changes in residents' health or behavior.

· Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met. Record and report changes in residents' eating habits to the supervisor.

· Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents.

· Lift and/or transfer residents as needed.

· Strong care giving skills and attention to detail in providing personalized care.

· Integrity to ensure clients feel safe and comfortable when tending to personal activities such as helping them bathe, dress, etc.

· Interpersonal skills when working with residents, including having compassion and being sensitive to their emotional needs.

· Additional duties as assigned.



Requirements

Resident Care Associate:


· High school diploma or equivalent and a competent history in a similar facility preferred.

· Must possess valid First Aid Certifications and, according to state regulations, may need to possess current CPR/CNA Certification, state certifications, and pass an examination and/or skills evaluation. Also, must meet requirements for continuing education and maintain all license(s).

· Background check and drug screening required.

· Speak, read, and understand English fluently.
