Performance Objectives:
  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure.
  • Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems.
  • Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications.
  • Installing cable boxes, routers, and internet devices.
  • Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.
  • Completing electronic paperwork such as timesheets, vehicle inspection reports, and work orders.
Capabilities/Key Competencies:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous work experience as a cable technician (not required)
  • Valid drivers license
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix any issues that may arise on the job
  • Ability to work at heights
  • Ability to install complex internet and television equipment
  • Ability to work in cramped spaces
Experience:
Preferred one or more years of professional experience, but no experience is required.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift at least 85 lbs or more.
