POSITION SUMMARY:

In this role, you will manufacture tight-tolerance Aerospace and Space components in variety of materials including the latest exotic alloys. At ADDMAN you’ll be part of a skilled and growing team pushing the limits of aerospace and additive manufacturing.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Setup, adjust, and operate a variety of 2, 3, and 7-axis CNC Lathes.Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot CNC Lathe code.Ability to calculate and adjust machine parameters for tight tolerance parts in a variety of metals, including exotic alloys.Adjust tools and replace as needed in support of close tolerance machining.Helps develop workable methods and process improvements for machining operations.Proficient at performing required in process inspections.Must be able to read and understand job traveler information and component drawings including geometric tolerancing.Promote a continuous learning environment with less experienced machinists to develop their machining, inspection, and problem-solving skills.Perform other duties as assigned.Regular and punctual attendance.Strictly adheres to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Follow all Company policies and procedures.

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

To conform to U.S. export control regulations, the applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.


Requirements:

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.
  • Proficient in CNC lathes operation and deburring process at an aerospace quality level.
  • Programming experience using MAsterCAM.
  • Selects and uses inspection equipment and techniques.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications to industry and/or customer-defined specifications.
  • Determines acceptability of quality of work.
  • Resolves process issues.
  • Ability to meet job time standards.
  • Seeks out additional duties when it is needed.
  • Addresses potential problems with suggested solutions.
  • Promotes a positive environment through what is said and by setting an example.
  • Works independently, strong work ethic, is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of related two-year vocational school program and three years related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations.
  • Works independently, strong work ethic, is self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time.
  • Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
  • Must be a team player and willing to learn new skills and concepts.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops, and other mandatory safety equipment.
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
