In your day to day, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory control and managing the kitchen and front of house staff. To be successful as a manager here you'll need excellent communication skills and you should be someone who leads by example, both in how you interact with your team and how you support our guests. You will also handle a variety of responsibilities and duties including recruiting and hiring restaurant staff, training, overseeing food quality, creating and executing restaurant marketing strategies, developing menus, as well as greeting and serving restaurant guests and supporting service. Below is a more complete list of your expected duties.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Manage and oversee the entire restaurant operation
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality and guest service
  • Manage and train restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth functioning of the restaurant
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as neede
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the restaurant
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and specials
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Handle customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates
  • Help plan and develop the overall restaurant marketing strategy
  • Manage the restaurants tech stack
  • Respond efficiently to customer questions and complaints
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Manage and lead staff
  • Develop hourly and salary staff
  • Hire new employees
  • Terminate employees when necessary
  • Evaluate staff performance
  • Manage food cost, forecast requirements, and maintain inventory
  • Manage restaurant supplies including smallwares
  • Control costs and minimize waste
  • Create and nurture a positive working environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
  • Experience in catering or event planning is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Culinary knowledge and understanding of kitchen operations
  • Familiarity with inventory control procedures
  • Familiarity with SpotOn, Restaurant 365, Ottimate (formerly PlateIQ) or similar restaurant management software
  • Cash handling experience and ability to manage financial transactions accurately
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role is preferred
  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience working in restaurants
  • Extensive food and wine knowledge
  • Computer literacy
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Good time management skills
