Site Procurement Head


Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, driving innovation and integrity in procurement. Your role is pivotal in shaping the company's procurement strategy, aligning it with financial goals, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing top supply chain practices. As Director of Procurement for the Specialty Alloys & Components unit, you'll oversee both direct and indirect spending.

This encompasses managing the total cost of ownership for raw materials, operating supplies, capital, and MRO. Your expertise will guide internal departments in vendor management, and contract negotiation, and ensure timely and value-driven delivery of goods and services. To excel, you'll need strong contract negotiation skills, a proactive approach to efficiency, a mindset for continuous improvement, and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication and leadership skills are essential for building robust relationships both internally and externally.


  • Oversee the Purchasing Department, handling raw materials, capital, MRO, services, and indirect expenditures.
  • Renew contracts by pinpointing and prioritizing opportunities to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Manage procurement spending, cost savings, inventory, risk, and supplier performance.
  • Implement and communicate the procurement business plan, setting long-term goals to boost departmental efficiency.
  • Contribute to Strategic Sourcing strategies.
  • Represent the company in contract negotiations and policy formulation with suppliers.
  • Coordinate teams involved in material purchasing, selling, and distribution activities.
  • Establish purchasing and contract management guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in crafting specifications for equipment, products, or alternative materials.
  • Evaluate market and delivery systems to gauge current and future material availability.
  • Supervise procurement activities tied to product manufacturing or service provision.
  • Coordinate procurement efforts across departments involved in product production, pricing, or distribution.
  • Manage financial and budgetary aspects of the procurement organization to optimize operations and investments.
  • Set departmental policies, objectives, and procedures.
  • Offer strong leadership to the Purchasing Department, covering raw materials, revert, capital, MRO (including third-party support), and services.
  • Lead personnel in a matrix organization, setting departmental goals aligned with strategic plans, overseeing performance, continuous improvement, policy compliance, budget management, and team growth.
