**Foundation Specialist - St. Peter's Hospital - Full Time Days**

**Position Summary**:
The Foundation Specialist reports to the Executive Director of St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation and the Northeast Health Foundation. This position is responsible for acute driven donor events. This includes, implementing fund raising activities to successfully meet the Development Goals and Objectives of the St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation and Northeast Health Foundation. Primary responsibilities will include the organization and coordination of multiple aspects of Donor Events, Donor Cultivation, and the assistance in cultivating Major Gift Prospectives.

Other responsibilities include recruitment, assisting in overseeing and support of Fundraising Committees and Fund Raising Volunteers. Keeping accurate records of all donations and acknowledgements and preparing revenue reports. Coordinating Fundraising meetings including scheduling, set up and follow up. Involved in event related communications including major mailings, electronic and web updates. Lead on all event logistics. Secures and prepares all needed auctions and raffles for events. The position will also be responsible for representing, to the community the values and mission of St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation and Northeast Health Foundation.

**Education Requirements**:

- Associate Degree and four years of experience or a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University.

**Experience Requirements**:

- This position requires strong interpersonal skills, high energy and the ability to organize a multitude of fund-raising tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in Fund Raising, Communications, Public Relations or Marketing in a non-profit organization preferred.
- Driver’s license and vehicle required.

**Principal Responsibilities**:
1. **_Fundraising Coordination:_**
- The Foundation Specialist oversees the planning, organization, logistics, communication and implementation of Acute Care donor events to meet the goals and objectives.

Understands the mission of St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation and Northeast Health Foundation and the master plan of fundraising goals and activities in working towards establishing new projects and maintaining current ones.

Above and beyond job responsibilities, the Foundation Specialist will attend all fundraising events providing active support and promoting the mission and values of the SPHP Center for Philanthropy.

Communicates well with staff, volunteers, committee members, donors and all constituents in the community served.

2**_. Donation Management:_**
- Solicitation of donations and gifts for the SPH Foundation and Northeast Health Foundation.

Responsible for the tracking and recording of all donations in accordance with the Foundation’s organizational policy. Accountable for retrieval of donations and the proper handling of said gifts.

3. **_Community/Organizational Liaison:_**
- Works directly with the SPH Foundation and NEH Foundation to broaden acute care fundraising opportunities.

Communicates fund raising updates and activities with clinical division benefitting from event.

Works to identify and act quickly on prospective fundraising opportunities.

Travels to meet with individuals and groups as an initial contact and follows up as needed.

Attends community/committee meetings to represent the Foundation.

Coordinates and participates in acknowledgements/appreciation of donors and supporters

4. **_Fundraising Activity Implementation:_**
- Site coordination at donor fundraising events.

Anticipation and procurement of needed fund-raising supplies.

Obtain, organize and set up all auctions and raffles

Manages fund raising volunteers

Coordinate’s acknowledgements and thank you letters to donors, volunteers and committee members, in conjunction with the SPH and NEH Foundation.

Pay Range:$21.20 - $28.26

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

All new employees are required to undergo and pass all applicable state and federally mandated pre-employment screening requirements.
