Position Summary: The Family Service Coordinator provides coordination to children and their foster families in order to facilitate safety, permanency and well-being.

Location: Olathe KS

Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an area licensable by the Kansas BSRB

Experience: Two years’ experience with children and family services required

Licensure/Certification: Licensure by the Kansas BSRB is required Driver’s license and valid auto insurance required

Essential Duties:

  • Extensive driving required with mileage reimbursement; valid auto insurance and driver's license needed.
  • Involved in recruitment, training, licensing, and support of family foster homes.
  • Provide ongoing support, crisis response, and conduct home visits as required.
  • Attend meetings, case conferences, court hearings, and school conferences for children in foster care.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call crisis intervention on a rotation schedule.
  • Meet performance expectations, including contract requirements and regulations.
  • Assess and support client and foster family needs and refer to community resources.
  • Provide direct services per program and contract guidelines.
  • Complete paperwork timely, following agency policies.
  • Develop resources for clients and staff needs.
  • Offer positive reinforcement and culturally sensitive services.
  • Supervise Social Work Interns and report any signs of abuse/neglect.
  • Transport clients when appropriate.
  • Participate in service development, complete required therapy hours, and attend trainings.
