JRAD is seeking candidates for an immediate fill Pricing Manager position. This position is remote.


Purpose:

The Pricing Manager plays a critical role in assisting a portfolio of companies to meet growth objectives and profitability goals in the Federal Government marketplace. The Pricing Manager develops and maintains the pricing systems, databases, and tools to meet profit goals, comply with company policies, and adhere to U.S. Government regulations. The Pricing Manager is responsible for partnering with project managers and functional staff to ensure services pricing optimizes value to the customer and profitability to JRAD. The Pricing Manager is responsible for developing processes that drive consistency and continuous improvement in pricing. The pricing function plays a critical role in the proposal process and in pricing decisions on existing contracts. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in both cost plus and fixed price type arrangements and experience working in small to mid-sized companies within the DoD or DHS marketplace.


Job Duties:

  • Works directly with senior executives within the portfolio of companies on pricing strategy for pre- and post-award projects
  • Develops recommendations and necessary analysis/reports to facilitate leadership decisions regarding pricing strategies to enhance profitability and grow market share
  • Develops product pricing models and financial analyses, including value tradeoffs, cashflow, profitability, and warranty or risk assessments
  • Participates in proposal strategy development and win strategy planning
  • Works closely with business development, accounting, finance, contracts, and operations teams to determine and set prices
  • Generates recommendations on pricing updates based upon competitive intelligence, product differentiation and internal analysis
  • Manages responses to periodic pricing inquiries from customers
  • Leads cross-functional pricing projects to support development and execution of pricing strategies
  • Provides research assistance to project and capture managers on historical pricing and insights on specific customer groups
  • Analyzes solicitations and requests for quote to determine cost and pricing requirements
  • Ensures proposed subcontractor cost-plus pricing submissions are compliant with solicitation requirements
  • Ensures strict adherence to U.S. Government regulations, formatting guidelines, and cost proposal submission requirements
  • Writes, edits and proofreads cost proposal documents and supporting exhibits to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy
  • Manages cost proposal development timelines and coordinates with team members and subcontractors to meet tight deadlines
  • Prepares all exhibits and leads pricing reviews for executive approval
  • Develops and maintains cost proposal templates, libraries, and databases


Minimum Required Skills and Education:

  • 10+ years in pricing management role in the U.S. Federal Government marketplace (preferably DoD and DHS)
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business related area of emphasis
  • Advanced knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and procedures for handling controlled unclassified information
  • Experience in price modeling and forecasting
  • Demonstrated success analyzing large amounts of data and providing recommendations
  • Experience working in Costpoint, Deltek CM or similar ERP software
  • Expert level knowledge of labor category mapping using databases such as ERI or HR3D
  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to use software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD and/or DHS security clearance, public trust and/or suitability
  • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment
