Pricing Manager Job Description

Global Systems Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Pricing Manager to join our team. As a Pricing Manager, you will play a critical role in assisting our portfolio of companies to meet growth objectives and profitability goals in the Federal Government marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pricing Strategy Development: Work directly with senior executives to develop and implement pricing strategies for pre- and post-award projects.
  • Financial Analysis: Develop recommendations and necessary analysis/reports to facilitate leadership decisions regarding pricing strategies to enhance profitability and grow market share.
  • Product Pricing Models: Develop product pricing models and financial analyses, including value tradeoffs, cashflow, profitability, and warranty or risk assessments.
  • Proposal Strategy Development: Participate in proposal strategy development and win strategy planning.
  • Price Management: Work closely with business development, accounting, finance, contracts, and operations teams to determine and set prices.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Generate recommendations on pricing updates based upon competitive intelligence, product differentiation, and internal analysis.
  • Customer Inquiries: Manage responses to periodic pricing inquiries from customers.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Lead cross-functional pricing projects to support development and execution of pricing strategies.
  • Research Assistance: Provide research assistance to project and capture managers on historical pricing and insights on specific customer groups.
  • Solicitation Analysis: Analyze solicitations and requests for quote to determine cost and pricing requirements.
  • Subcontractor Pricing: Ensure proposed subcontractor cost-plus pricing submissions are compliant with solicitation requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to U.S. Government regulations, formatting guidelines, and cost proposal submission requirements.
  • Cost Proposal Development: Write, edit, and proofread cost proposal documents and supporting exhibits to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Timeline Management: Manage cost proposal development timelines and coordinate with team members and subcontractors to meet tight deadlines.
  • Exhibit Preparation: Prepare all exhibits and lead pricing reviews for executive approval.
  • Template Development: Develop and maintain cost proposal templates, libraries, and databases.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years in pricing management role in the U.S. Federal Government marketplace (preferably DoD and DHS).
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business-related area of emphasis.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and procedures for handling controlled unclassified information.
  • Experience in price modeling and forecasting.
  • Demonstrated success analyzing large amounts of data and providing recommendations.
  • Experience working in Costpoint, Deltek CM, or similar ERP software.
  • Expert-level knowledge of labor category mapping using databases such as ERI or HR3D.
  • Advanced knowledge of and ability to use software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD and/or DHS security clearance, public trust, and/or suitability.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
