PYA Waltman is seeking a Financial Planning Intern to join our Knoxville office in Summer 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a student in an academic program to gain meaningful work experience at our privately-owned and dynamic professional services firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide document review and organization
  • Assist in financial plan development to include research and data entry
  • Work within the firm’s financial planning software applications
  • Prepare presentation materials for client meetings
  • Work on individual projects to support the firm’s client service
  • Assist as needed with client phone support

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Interest in pursuing a career in Financial Planning and/or Wealth Management
  • Pursuit of a bachelor degree in financial planning or finance preferred
  • Polished professionalism including a positive attitude
  • Computer savvy with experience using Excel
  • Self-starter, takes initiative
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Possess strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong sense of responsibility with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Effective team player with a high level of integrity
  • Exhibits PYAWs values daily: excellence, trust, gratitude, and growth

POSITION TYPE

  • Full-time Internship: up to 40 hours a week
  • May 2025 – August 2025
  • Housing provided for out of state student
