POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The firm is seeking qualified candidates to join its growing team as a Financial Planning Associate. The individual will serve as a cohesive team member who consistently adds to the firm’s mission. For more information about PYA Waltman, please visit pyawaltman.com.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist the Director of Financial Planning with financial analysis and drafting of financial plans for clients
  • Assist the Director of Institutional Services to provide support for Retirement Plan Consulting clients
  • Provide support for clients and team by coordinating the financial planning engagement and building financial plans while leveraging databases and financial planning software
  • Work with the internal team to prepare for client meetings including meeting coordination and preparation of regular correspondence and client presentations
  • Take the lead on following up with action items from client meetings
  • Provide outstanding client service with exceptional communication with clients, plan sponsors, and participants
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree. Graduate of Financial Planning program preferred (CFP® Candidate) or Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ (FPQP™) designation preferred, but not required.
  • Similar experience preferred, but not required if candidate possesses business related educational background.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures
  • Polished professionalism with superior oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent documentation, records retention, and work paper organizational skills
  • Excellent technical skills (CRM, MS Office, etc.)
  • Must be detail oriented, flexible, and responsive
  • Exercise tact, courtesy, and discretion in contacts at all levels – both within and outside the Firm
  • Client-oriented work ethic, delivering high quality results
  • Person of sound judgment who can prioritize
