Seeking a diverse individual who will oversee all accounting functions and processes for a multi-state, multi-location organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support and development of the corporate accounting and payroll team.
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial information to Executive Management.
  • Provide support for annual budgeting and planning process for each location.
  • Month-end and year end close of general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L consolidations and financial reporting consistent with GAAP and Company policy.
  • Work with CPA on financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
  • Review and manage (and establish as needed) internal systems, controls, processes, and procedures to ensure the integrity, accuracy, compliance, and usefulness of financial information and reporting.

Ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 10 years corporate accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles required (CPA preferred, but not required).
  • Proven track record in managing people and processes improvement.
  • Strong alignment with organizational mission and values.
  • "Roll up the sleeves" approach to the position (player/coach role).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to extract meaning from numbers and present analysis clearly and concisely to people with varying degrees of financial knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of accounting systems.
