As a Salesforce Architect, you'll lead the design, development, and deployment of customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support our business functions and strategic goals. You'll enhance our customer-facing tools and improve employee efficiency, ensuring that our technology meets the needs of both our clients and our team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Salesforce Architect is responsible for the following:

  • Design, develop, and deploy customized solutions within the Salesforce platform to support business functions and meet project goals and Homewise’s five-year strategic objectives. Current Salesforce product areas include CRM, Marketing Cloud, Surveys, and other Salesforce integrations. This could also expand to a Homewise mobile app.
  • Enhance all customer-facing tools so that Homewise clients can document and track their journey to becoming successful homeowners.
  • Modify tools to increase efficiency and user-friendly processes for Homewise teams. Identify information needed by end users and develop accurate reports to improve the effectiveness of managers and employees.
  • Proactively work with Homewise management and employees, identifying best practice business processes.
  • Deliver timely projects with user input.
  • Work with program developers across other teams to align with their mortgage, servicing, and other software.
  • Study the current and future scope of Salesforce products and services, which may expand based on the business's growth.
  • Complete assigned software implementation tasks with high quality and on schedule.
  • Achieve a 90% user approval rating for assigned application software as established by the annual user survey.
  • Implement error-free application software in a timely manner.
  • Assists with application and user support.
  • Takes independent action to correct problems encountered during systems operations within the authority level granted by the IT manager.
  • Maintains integrity of program logic and coding and establishes required checks and balances for operational controls. Adheres to coding best practices laid down by Salesforce.
  • Produces procedural documentation as required.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure best practices in service provided to customers.
  • Work closely with other Salesforce team members at Homewise to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Management, implementation, and improvement of customer-facing technology. Achieving Homewise’s strategic goal of a “high tech, high touch” customer experience.
  • Timely follow-up with all internal customer requests.
  • Manage pipeline of requests, prioritizing, and completing projects according to committed/needed timelines.

  • Computer skills: Knowledge of and experience with: Programming in Salesforce; Microsoft SQL Server; Microsoft Exchange; Classic ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML
  • High standards. Expects personal performance to be nothing short of the best.
  • Strong Project Management Skills: Proven ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and scope, while managing resources and stakeholders effectively.


Education and Experience

  • Knowledge and experience in programming applications for Salesforce are required.
  • Salesforce certified desired.
  • Proven skills in integrating JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX-based functionalities in Visualforce components and pages required.
  • Experience with APEX, Data Loader, DB Amp, and Visualforce is desired.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a technology-related field preferred.
  • Three or more years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Work Schedule

  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.


Physical Requirements.

  • This is largely a sedentary role.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift objects up to 20 pounds.
